The event started at 17:00, for those who came on time we asked Matjaz to make a guided tour around Škofja Loka. Then we went to Ostriga where everyone enjoyed grilled vegetables, chevapchichi and some delicious Turkish sauces prepared by Erhan.

According to the plan we made a Jam session, more precisely, those who play musical instruments made it. :-) It was cool and nice, but too short for me, on the other side I can understand musicians who were already a bit tired. Then… a nice dancing night. For people who couldn’t stay until morning were arranged places for sleep in the local scout house.

I personally liked this event, also I heard positive responses about this party. A bit pity that not too many EVSes could come. There were 3 Portuguese girls, 2 German guys, 1 Lithuanian girl, 1 Ukrainian girl, 1 Bulgarian girl, 2 Slovenians (Bulgarian girl’s mentor and friend), 4 Latvian girls who do their Erasmus in Slovenia (invited by Janis) and 5 of us (Silvia, Erhan, Janis, Anastasia, me). And of course we had our mentors, coordinator and some local people who were curious about the party.

The second day was planned for Lubnik, but guys who were motivated to hike the day before were absolutely tired and lazy in the morning, so climbing the mountain was not accomplished. Maybe for the next time. ;)

Mito Gegič, an artist who lives in Škofja Loka now, was the first one who saw our pictures. Without knowing which pictures are Silvia’s and which are mine, he paid attention to two of them, and called both of them perfect. One picture was Silvia’s, another was mine. :-)

I really liked this event, I guess people had a good time also because of the musical performance by Erhan and Janis. Erhan made a cool sound from our pictures using one special computer program, then guys improved it by live playing.

Now our pictures are hanging the whole month in Ostriga.

Usually guys from Škofja Loka are playing their music at Diskoloka. Ivan Šušnjar and Aliash Tepina are among them. By the way Aliash Tepina is a professional actor and he played a bit part in Hollywood movie “The Dark Knight Rises“. So he is a local star here. :)

Next day was absolutely destroyed for majority of the inhabitants of Mestni trg 41 – terrible headache, hangover and all other signs of “having a good party”.

The style of the band, music they play and She – Melodrom has everything to be recognized as the coolest band in Slovenia.

There was a night of carnival in Škofja Loka on Friday. Silvia dressed up as Kekec, Janis as a Slovenian soldier and I as a Penguin.

It was cool to see funny dressed up people on the streets. :-) As soon as we walked a few meters from our flat we saw a bunch of guys dressed up as Catholic cardinals… we were impressed by their looks, so no wonder that in the end of the night their costumes were considered as the best in Ostriga. They won a box of beer which they immediately shared with the public.

The club was overcrowded, more than 600 people came to the place which is actually just for 200 people. I felt “a big city” for the first time since I’m in Slovenia. It was almost impossible to dance and if you wanted to reach a bar you had to squeeze yourself through a crowd… like at the Ukrainian market. :)

This party wasn’t my first party in Slovenia, so again I had a chance to make sure that Slovenians behave different from Ukrainians in the clubs. Here guys really like to kiss unfamiliar girls and try to touch them some how :-/.
