May’s adventure: Salzburg

May’s adventure: Salzburg

Silvia, Erhan, Matjaz and me had a great journey to Austria and Germany in the beginning of May. The trip lasted 4 days, main destination was Munich. :)

First day was in posh, cozy, colorful and expensive Austria:

  • Hallstadt – my childhood dream. I used to have a puzzle game with the view of this beautiful village. (A main picture of this post).
  • A spa town – Bad Ischl.
  • Anif Palace, unfortunately for tourists, the palace appeared to be private. So we almost couldn’t see it.
  • Mozart’s hometown – posh Salzburg, which reminded me Vienna a bit. Salzburg could had been my EVS host town, by the way :).
  • Berchtesgaden with the Kehlstein mountain (1,835 m) with its Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle’s Nest), which was Hitler’s mountain residence (the Berghof).

During this trip I noticed one peculiar thing about Austrians – they are crazy about their national costumes, for holiday each self-respecting citizen almost must to wear such a costume / dress. :-)
